In that case you could simply remove the Sleep After... settings in the Sleep section of Advanced Settings of the Power options and don't have to mss around with Multimedia settings.

But we're going off-topic. Personally, I expected this isue to ahve been solved in SP1 but no luck. I'm not sure why it hasn't received more attention as it is such a fundamental flaw in the power savings aspect of Vista.
