Re: PROBLEM AFTER OFFICE 2003 SERVICE PACK 3 UPDATE
Have you tried removing the update or doing a system restore to see if that rectifies the
problem?

| Tonight I updated my desktop computer to Windows' Office 2003 Service Pack 3.
| Since doing so, my computer does not start up or work correctly.
|
| All the icons on the desktop are not correctly displayed. If I try and
| click on any of them, I get this error message for each and every program:
|
| Windows cannot open this file.
| File: Digital Line Detect (for example).lnk
| To open this file, Windows needs to know what program created it.
|
| It seems that the program is with the .lnk file association.
|
| This is a most annoying problem, and one I need to get fixed immediately.
