Right click Taskbar>Properties, Notification Area Tab, tick Volume, OK.

Hello,

Need I say that seems a little awkward? With XP I could put an icon in the
task bar and simply click on it when I wanted to adjust the speaker volume.
I've found no such way to get to the adjustment control in Vista Home
Edition Premium. I can't even get to the control I just described through
the 'control panel > sound' option.
