Hi Marcus,

You can try a Startup Repair to see if it will fix the problem. This
tutorial will show you how.

If that does not work, then you can do a Repair Install. This will
allow you to repair your Vista installation without loosing your files,
settings, and programs. You can see how to do it in this tutorial.
