Of course it appears faster on faster hardware with more memory, is the
XP machines have < 512 they would likely improve too, especially with
Movie Maker et al.

Nobody here has a problem with that as long as you, the user, is happy
with it, comparisons between chalk and cheese notwithstanding.

Now you really are sounding like a fanboy. Blame the hardware
manufacturer or label the user who has a problem with it an idiot.

Do you (for example) not see a problem with the fact that every "New and
improved" Media Player actually plays less and less of your OWN stuff?
By your own admission you can't use it. Do you not see a problem with
having to phone Microsoft and ask for your car keys back when you
replace some broken part of your vehicle? Do you not see a problem with
Microsoft being able to sneak into your house through the back door and
take away your car keys because they decided that maybe you stole the
car for no reason at all?

These are the realities of the now built in spyware that's DRM, WGA and
Activation.

Do you not accept that criticism of things people feel are bad for
Microsoft can be constructive, whether it is intended that way or not?

The people hardest hit by these things are legitimate users who are NOT
computer geeks but ordinary people who have bought and paid for systems
that don't work well for them.

I entirely support Microsoft's right to screw things up for themselves,
but I do not think they should attempt to take legitimate users with
them, especially such users who don't understand why they are having the
problems thet are having.
