Hi Dean: Just to let you know, I decided this problem needed some hands-on
technician from Gateway. After 45 mins. of working thru all areas similar to
those you suggested... it was confirmed that I had a bad monitor. To prove
it I hooked
up my older monitor and everything came up just fine... So they are
replacing my
"new" monitor with another one which we hope will be "perfect".. Thanks for
your assistance.
