Roger,

Will you share "exactly" how you performed initial Vista Install, other than
upgrade from XP?

Question, before you first inserted Vista's Install DVD, did you have *all*
devices connected to your machine, including (wishfully) broadband?

If you did not have all devices and Net connection, before Vista Install,
easily that could be the source for the conflict.

If so, the only resolution, reformat... be sure for including (the first
vol) at least a minium 1.5 Gig partition for BitLocker.
