RE: Password issue at logon
Are you using the simple logon screen or the classic logon screen? One reason
why a Windows installation might start asking for a password after being set
up for automatic logon would be if you added another user. It's even possible
that another user might have been created by installation of some type of
software and resulted in this happening.

However, Windows shouldn't create its own password for the account. I hate
to ask it, but this has confused many folks before -- you did try logging in
to the account by leaving the password blank, right?

Another possibility would be that someone else logged on to your system and
created a password for that account.

Just throwing out some ideas. I think those are the most likely candidates
for causing what you're reporting.
