Fwiw, I had tried to install a Nero 7 Essentials CD that came with my PC
(with XP Home). Like others, I ignored the warning about known
incompatibilities, and like others, the program did not work. What was
worse, I couldn't uninstall it to put the version of Nero that does work.
After seeing Frank's message above, I ran the CleanTool.
The Cleantool gave me 1/2 dozen error messages, but did run. What's
more, it DID remove the bad Nero install.
I then installed the Demo version from the website, and now all is well.
I even registered it with a permanent license.
