Thanks, Don, but an MS chat from Madras solved the problem by suggesting that
I delete my OmniPage 15 program. When I did, voila: IE launched. I
communicated via MSN Premium, which did not allow her access to my machine.
So it was a good guess or the first on her list of errant programs. So now, I
guess I have to go to ScanSoft for a Vista update for OmniPage. I still can't
get rid of the Norton AntiVirus error message, so I guess I'll just delete
the program and re-dlownload the update that refuses to take hold. Thanks
