Darn, that could not have been the problem, because the COPY/PASTE issue
also happened for local files on the Vista system.
I'll just have to make sure that I do a backup every day, at least once.
Until recently, I was not too actively using the Vista system, and I still
keep all my files on the desktop, so going to a 10 day old backup really
only required an update to the AV software.
In effect, I got the Vista system so I'd be able to test programming with
Office 2007, in particular Excel 2007. All source files are kept on the
desktop, except for brief periods when I need to debug in Office 2007 using
VB 6, or test in Excel 2007 directly.
