It depends on the implementation of the fix. You can get clues from
the associated KB article and TechNet Security Bulletin (if available)
or from the update's install log.

Oh. KB963707? AU hasn't shown it to me yet. Looks like it is just
an optional hotfix somehow (mis?)categorized as high priority.

Frankly I don't know why it would think that I would need it because I have
never had FireFox installed let alone its ".NET Framework Assistant 1.0"
and this is only a single user machine. So I won't be able to help you
by referring to my logs for this update. Then the only clues you will have
is from your install logs.

Probably. A test would be whether it is still offered to you via either WU/AU.
