Regsvr32 error 0x80004005
I have an issue with when trying to register a dll file. The error
displayed is 0x80004005 which apparently has to do with (the lack of)
administrative access. I'm using the computer with admin status, but I'm
aware of the User Account Control (UAC) thing (which basically requires
you to confirm admin level usage even if you are an admin).
Another thread instructed to right-click on the command prompt and "run
as administrator". However, I don't see that option when I right-click
on the icon! This is not the case with other programs and I know what
the guy meant with his advice.
I also right-clicked on the Command Prompt, went to Properties, went to
"Extra Properties" or whatever (My OS isn't english). There was an
unticked box which read "run as an administrator", but it was grey and I
couldn't tick it! Wtf?
So, how do I run Command Prompt as admin and how can I register a dll
file?
