|| In Vista when 'select to install updates and shutdown is selected'
|| it goes to the normal install screen waits a while on the first one
|| and then skip the others and shuts down - updates remin uninstalled

|| Additional symptoms:
|| Windows update (and windows defender update) fail to check for
|| updates with error code 80004002

|| I am unable to change windows update settings from 'install
|| automatically every day at 3am'. No matter what I change, after I
|| press OK, acknowledge the UAC prompt, the setting remains unchanged.

|| This has been happening for quite some time - possibly couple of
|| months.
||
|| Following some suggestions in the knowledge base and forums, I have
|| attempted to do the:
|| - 'stop service, register dlls, start service'
|| - 'stop service, rename software store'
|| - reinstall latest windows update agent. Nothing has worked so far.
