Re: Windows Vista Mail asking for logon information now
Go to Tools, Accounts, select that mail account, Properties, Servers.
Make sure the box for "Log on using Secure Password Authentication."
is unchecked.

If it was already unchecked, which antivirus are you running?
Some of them are not fully compatible with Windows Mail.
